I am a representational artist with a twist - I present realism as abstract. Although my images are very specific I want them to be open to interpretation. It allows me to offer you an opportunity to find your own meaning.
Inspiration springs from being curious and fascinated with nature, especially abstract patterns and forms that are temporary or easily overlooked. The beauty of intricate details, the colors, shapes and textures inform my work. Studying these elements I gain a greater understanding of my subjects. As each work progresses, it becomes a visual meditation strengthening my connection with the natural world.
Drawing from my multi-disciplinary skills I keep my artwork fresh and exciting. The versatility of acrylic paint enables me to mix media and combine my love of drawing, painting and photography - keeping my work challenging.
The magic of the great outdoors is that incredible natural processes are continually taking place; mountains form, water tumbles rocks smooth and tiny dry hard seeds become plants and trees.
